Document capture
Whether using a scanner at the workplace, a digital copier or a smartphone or tablet camera, the ECM system automates the entire capture-, indexing- and archiving-process. Starting with the automatic document separation and the integration of external database information up to gathering field data in invoices for a transfer of detailed values to the accountant: paper documents can be quickly captured and converted into valuable, further workable information.
Existing multifunctional devices from various manufacturers can also be used for scanning and direct entry of index criteria on the device display. A separate scan work station is then necessary no longer. For a convenient search for text content and a system-independent presentation, all documents are archived in standardized PDF/A format – the paper documents can be destroyed and valuable office space is gained.

In addition, windream also enables new versions of documents to be created, and the rights concept ensures that only explicitly authorized users can access documents and metadata. Using a simple search, individual documents can be found very quickly, or even complete files, such as order or personnel files. All search results are displayed to each authorized employee in a structured manner. Full-text search also opens up further possibilities.
